CAFF meeting in Yellowknife, APECS looking for local rep to attend

Hi Everyone,

CAFF is having a board meeting in Yellowknife from September 10-12, 2013 and has invited APECS to take part as part of our working relationship.

So, APECS is looking for someone to attend this two day event in Yellowknife. Your role will be to attend the meetings, contribute and represent APECS in any discussions. Unfortunately there is no funding so we are looking for someone who lives in Yellowknife, or will be there during the meeting anyway.

If you are interested please contact Jennifer Provencher at jennifpro@gmail.com. For more information about CAFF and the meeting you can visit http://www.caff.is/

Thanks,
Jenn

Hi APECS!

We are a multimedia documentary team, traveling up to the PCSP
facility in Resolute Bay, Canada, to profile scientists and others
involved in the scientific community using a combination of
photography, video, and audio. We running a crowdfunder to help cover
the last funding gap for our upcoming trip, and would be grateful if
you could in any way help spread the word:

We will also run a blog and Facebook page while we are up in Resolute,
and eventually launch a website. If you would like to stay connected:

Do you/someone you know live in Canada and work in issues related to northern Russia?

Hi everyone,

The Canadian Polar Commission is currently with IASC to gather a list of early career Canadians that have or are still working in topics that are related to northern Russia.

The purpose of creating this list is to try to engage more people working in the area to become involved in IASC and the ISIRA group, which focuses on Russia.

If you are/have/or know someone working in Canada, in issues related to northern Russia please contact me (jennifpro@gmail.com) as it would be great to hear about what you are doing and perhaps work together to get more people involved in some IASC working groups.

Cheers,
Jenn
