Fellow Canadian APECS members,
I wanted to let you know about a photo contest put on by the Canadian Water Network. The prizes are decent and I know that many of you probably already have a ton of beautiful pictures that would fit in the contest categories (Water Research; Adventurous/Action; Artistic). It would be really cool to see an Arctic photo or video win!
Information about the Contest:
The Canadian Water Network's tagline is bringing water research to life. Now, we're providing you with an opportunity to show others how water brings you to life. CWN invites budding photographers and videographers to participate in our first-ever students and young professionals photo/video contest. Here's your chance to be creative and unleash the artist within. So, go out and make a video or take a photo that portrays why water is vital to your vitality!
Categories:
· Water Research
· Adventurous/Action
· Artistic
Prizes
One winner will be selected from each category.
· Video — The winning video submission in each category will receive a cash prize of $500.
· Photo — The winning photo submission in each category will receive a cash prize of $250.
The contest runs from March 1, 2011 10:01 a.m. EST to September 30, 2011 4:59 p.m. EDT.
