Dear all,

I am happy to inform you that the 'ClimPol' project has released a 5 minutes animated film on air quality and climate with focus on short-lived climate-forcing pollutants (SLCPs).

"Outlaws in Air City"

The film is available here (http://climpol.iass-potsdam.de/multimedia) in English and German.

Have fun watching it, and please feel free sharing the film with your colleagues, students, friends or family…

Feedback is always welcome.

Best wishes

Julia

Short synopsis

"There is a bad atmosphere in Air City. Nasty substances harass the citizens…" They pollute the air and change the climate.

This film shows how we emit air pollutants that have an effect on climate (short-lived climate-forcing pollutants, SLCPs) and greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide in our everyday lives and what we can do to simultaneously reduce them as individuals and society for better air and climate.

Air pollution and climate change are two sides of the same coin. And if we start looking at these two problems as strongly linked challenges, we can make use of various co-benefits and reduce overall expenses for mitigation and coping with air pollution and climate change.

P.S.: Sorry for cross-postings.
