His Antarctic photographs exhibition was presented during the International Year of Planet Earth (UNESCO) in Portugal 2008, and had over 15,000 visitors attended. His photos were used as covers of PNAS and Geografiska Annaler journals, and printed in numerous magazines. He has a strong desire to share his Polar passion with the community and he has done it by presenting over 75 outreach presentations using research photos. Hi all,

Leona Aglukkak, MP for Nunavut will be the next chair of the Arctic Council. 

She was in Iqaluit on Saturday at an invitee only consultation session to collect ideas on what Canada should emphasize when we take on the chair for the Arctic Council.

The invitees were business, Inuit organizations, tourism and NU govt officials.

 

It is vital to get the environment and climate change on her agenda. And this will be an up hill battle.

 

As many people as possible need to send in ideas and priorities.
